Instructions for adding a paper in ProgEnv/...
Lund Institute of Technology, Department of Computer Science, SDE Research
General
Postscript versions of papers are now stored here in ProgEnv/Papers, and
not on the Mjolner MAC.
Your paper may be stored in one or several variants, e.g. postscript, pdf,
html abstract, etc.
Make sure each variant prints OK.
Each variant of the paper should contain information about where and when
it is published, e.g. using a separate title page (see below).
Add links to the paper in appropriate pages.
Making a Technical Report of the paper (in Framemaker)
Get a report number (LU-CS-TR:YY-NN) from Ann-Marie
Create a title page. I.e. create a new framemaker document and use the
Mjolner template "TEMPLATE.titlepage.doc". Save it in the same directory
as the paper document.
Create a new Multifile Book (File Generate/Book in the title page document).
Add the paper file to the book after the title page. Save.
Print the book to a postscript file. The file should be named LU-CS-TR:YY-NN.ps.
Preparing a paper which is not a Technical Report
Make sure you add information about when and where the paper is published.
You may write this in a header of the paper, e.g. in Courier font. (Make
sure you don't violate copyright restrictions.)
If your paper is under copyright, you may produce a html page instead,
including the abstract and reference to the paper. See examples in ProgEnv/Abstracts.
The file should be named LU-CS:YY.Name.XX.ps (where YY is the year, Name
a short name for the article, and XX your initials).
Change links in html documents
Make sure you follow the instructions for changing
html pages.
Add links in the document Papers.description.html and maybe also in the
different project pages.
Follow the style used in these html documents.
The links should have the form Papers/LU-CS-TR:YY-NN.ps or Abstracts/LU-CS-TR:YY-NN.html
